CleanUpNOLA is a comprehensive, coordinated initiative combining the efforts of multiple City departments and the community to make New Orleans shine.

We encourage all residents, visitors, and businesses to join us in this effort. Our success depends on everyone working together, not just within City Hall, but throughout the community. Together we will CleanUpNOLA.

  • Volunteers should wear sturdy, closed in shoes, long pants and shirts with sleeves
  • Volunteers are encouraged to bring: study gloves, hats, sunscreen, rakes, shovels and insect repellant

  2. Use the form below to contact the City for planning support
  3. Make a detailed event plan (Who, What, When, Where)
    • Identify tools & supplies needed
    • Identify trash pickup locations and other City support needed
    • Identify number of volunteers needed
    • Schedule of events for the day of the neighborhood cleanup
    • Scope of work
    • Possible rain date
  4. Spread the word on your event (CleanUpNOLA calendar, flyers, social media)
    • Identify resources to recruit volunteers

**All tool requests must be made at least 7 days prior to the event.**

**All tools must be returned within 48 hours of the event. Tools received on Friday must be returned the following Monday.**
